Last summer, viewers fell in love with Alison Irwin as she made a plucky run to the "Big Brother" Top Two. This summer, that love affair will carry over to CBS' "Amazing Race."

OK. Actually, most viewers only loved to hate Alison, as the Pennsylvania native used her dubious sex appeal to backstab and manipulate her way to a second place finish on "Big Brother." But she made for good television. Alison and her much discussed boyfriend Donald Patrick are the most familiar faces in this season's "Amazing Race" roster.

The 11 couples include a middle-aged couple who met over the Internet, the usual assortment of siblings and spouses and the sure-to-be-endearing love match of a beauty queen (2003 Miss USA 2nd Runner Up Nicole O'Brian) and a male model.

"Amazing Race" will premiere on Tuesday, July 6 with a 90-minute episode beginning at 9:30 p.m. ET, before moving to its regular home at 10 p.m. on Tuesdays. Once again, the show will feature 11 teams racing around the world for the chance at a $1 million prize.

Last year's winners were Reichen Lehmkuhl and Chip Arndt, a then-married gay couple.
